No rain in richmond as of yet, but the lightning continues to be impressive

Here's hoping hail doesn't some to Spring. My homeowner's insurance carrier got out of the local market and I'm between carriers until tomorrow.

I see quite an impressive line of storms from the west.
Lightning show....off in the distance for those of us in east part of the area.
What can we expect for Porter over the next couple of hours?
No rain, no rainbows.

Thunder! Yeah Baby!!!!!!

We had some rain, lightning, and thunder earlier. Now, it is the eerily silent, the calm before the storm.
Another unexpected active evening across SE TX. I'm loving this pattern.
Too bad it's going to end this week

You'll need to keep an eye on the storms to your west, however it does appear that the worse may pass a little to you south. Either way, rain and lightning is a good bet.cisa wrote:What can we expect for Porter over the next couple of hours?
Outflow boundary looks to have cut the inflow to the line and is currently responsible for its weakening.

You think this is it? The northern end of the line appears to be bowing.
I leave for a bit and come back and man does that radar look ugly! It is quiet here in my neighborhood...for all of you going through the storms please stay safe!

I have also seen lightning off in the distance thus far tonight here in Baytown. I am still wondering if any of those severe thunderstorms are going to make it this way prior weakening tonight or early tomorrow morning prior sunrise.
Nexrad- winds near 50mph nearing Jersey Village (winds 3000 ft off ground)
VIL continues to decrease.....

By the way, in case any of you have not noticed, some of that lightning has a orange or copper hue to it.
