Same here. It doesn't look like the DP will clear 60°F in CLL. So, I'll allow it.MontgomeryCoWx wrote: ↑Tue Dec 30, 2025 6:21 pmI only see one day in the 80s for me. This is getting to be beyond ridiculous.

Euro-AI has the coldest air of the season descending down the spine of the Rockies on the 14th. GEM/Canadian agrees. GFS has a more eastern solution. We'll see.

GFS 00z drives the cold air down into texas , nothing crazy yet, but a very far south storm track on this run again, gonna be an interesting next 2 weeks watching how models evolve with this pattern change

32°F here this morning. Didn’t get as cold as forecasted. Colder temps were further east.

30 by 0330 in Northern Brazoria County this morning. Good thing we decided to cover/bring in plants! I was afraid the calm winds would cause the temps to drop below forecasted lows.

Looking even better, I expect ensembles will trend even colder as we approach mid january, doesnt matter at all what the operational models say, you get this kind of a pattern with the trough hanging back SW, strong poleward - EPO ridge and some SE ridging, the arctic air will overwhelm the pattern easily, including texas, interesting times are ahead, just have to deal with some more warmth before we get their though
