We received some rain in Stafford this morning, not bunches. Skies are still cloudy, kind of a mix of darkish, white and some blue sky inbetween, looks darker towards the front of the house than in the back. Hoping for some more, especially as dh cancelled his golf game.

I feel you. It looks like the band will end up moving east and stabilization will prevent any afternoon development further nw.jasons wrote:This is painful to watch. It's all setting-up to my east and south. Ugh.

Down here in Clear Lake we are having one of those rains that is deceptively heavy. Looking out the window the rain is coming down steady but doesn't seem too heavy. You step out in it and you are soaked within 5 seconds.
The great thing about the last few days is how even if it hasn't rained too much, the clouds have kept temps. down. It has been an easy summer but I am glad to see at least some hints of fall!

Nice steady rain been going on for about an hour in south Alvin. Can't wait to see how much we have in the rain gauge!

Expect a general decrease in coverage and intensity of storms as we head into the evening. Things will begin stabilizing as the surge of moisture continues moving through the area. Maybe some isolated stuff this evening but not overly excited about that. Either way it looks like a lot of the coast up into parts of the Houston area and points NE got some good rain from this.

I'm done. Throwing in the towel after watching this for a week. I just turned-on the sprinklers.

That is some bad luck for you. Sorry about that. Looked like your area was close to getting some.
