* AT 309 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
CAPABLE OF PRODUCING LARGE DAMAGING HAIL UP TO GOLF BALL SIZE.
THIS STORM WAS LOCATED NEAR EAST BERNARD...AND MOVING EAST AT 25
MPH.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
ROSENBERG...RICHMOND...NEEDVILLE...PLEAK...BEASLEY AND KENDLETON.

Pre frontal trough dropped the temps by about 15 degrees, Michael. Now the hail may have something to do with it as well...

Rain just started in Stafford. Starting lightly, than really started coming down. Was windy for a second or two, currently not so much.

Dime to penny size hail reports coming in along the W side, just outside the W Loop at this time.

That wind was gusting crazily as it moved in...knocked over our full trashcans.

Nice downdraft winds here at Gulfgate area.

Getting thunder and lightning now in Stafford. Not much wind though. Rain has slacked off after a heavy downfall for about 5-10 minutes. Temp is down to 68. Looking at the radar on the weather homepage here we are smack dab in the middle of the two red box areas.

INTO MIDDLE TX COASTAL AREAS FROM MATAGORDA BAY TO POLK AND LIBERTY
COUNTIES. RECENT TRENDS...INCLUDING DEEPENING CONVECTIVE COLD POOL
AND STRENGTHENING MID LEVEL FLOW TO THE WEST /50KT PER LDB PROFILER
DATA/...MAY CONTRIBUTE TO AN INCREASING CHANCE FOR
BOWING/ACCELERATING LINE SEGMENTS WITH DAMAGING WINDS RESULTING. IN
FACT...THIS CURRENTLY APPEARS TO BE OCCURRING WITH A BOWING LINE
SEGMENT IN SERN HARRIS COUNTY.

IN ADDITION TO VERY HEAVY RAIN /RATES TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR...AND

HAIL UP TO THE SIZE OF DIMES AND WIND GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH WILL BE
POSSIBLE WITH THESE STORMS.
