That CMC run might have even been colder than Feb 21.

Regardless of this pattern coming up, it’s good to do that every Winter.

I have an atmospheric water generator in build form right now that I will need to insulate.

And that’s still way warmer than what the ICON and CMC have.
Yikes! 🥶

The GDPS is the CMC/Canadian model.

Thats as cold of a run as ive seen since the February 2021 event, absolutely brutal, you get any precipitation with that kind of cold and you’re in big trouble, even without precipitation that would put a serious strain on the grid

Maybe for the squall line. All the discreet stuff is mostly gonna be out east of us if current models hold.

Of course, take this with a big grain of salt. But the GFS,CMC,ICON and EURO are close to showing a statewide winter storm setup around the 16th. Just need the shortwave they show to slow down and dig a little bit more to the south before ejecting. I bring this up just because this is the first time this season that I feel that enough pieces are showing up in the medium- long range for me to say that there is a non-zero chance of a winter storm around the middle of the month, with the secondary surge of arctic air. Of course, we'll have to watch trends in the models and real time data as the week continues to see if those chances go up from the "non-zero territory".Stay tuned....
