SPC changes risk area; now includes SE TX
ALSO...OTHER STORMS HAD DEVELOPED ALONG WEAK SURFACE CONVERGENCE
BOUNDARY BETWEEN POE TO CLL. ALTHOUGH DEEP LAYER SHEAR IS ONLY
AROUND 25-30 KT...MLCAPES FROM 2500-3500 J/KG AND A VERY MOIST
BOUNDARY LAYER WILL BE SUPPORTIVE OF SCATTERED STORMS WITH SEVERE
HAIL AND WET MICROBURSTS. POOL OF GREATER INSTABILITY SHOULD ALSO
AID IN STRONG PROPAGATION ON BACKSIDE OF STORMS...SO NET MOTION IS
LIKELY TO BE MORE SWD THAN EWD.

NWS thinking the MCS to our NW may create some problems later this evening for our Northern Areas...
MEANWHILE...MCS AND ASSOCIATED SFC OUTFLOW BOUNDARY ARE PUSHING
SOUTHEAST AT 40 MPH THROUGH NORTH CENTRAL TX. AN IMPRESSIVE COLD
POOL HAS DEVELOPED WITH THE MCS WHICH SHOULD KEEP THE STORMS OR
THE REMNANT OUTFLOW GOING UNTIL IT REACHES OUR NRN ZONES. BASED ON
CURRENT MOTION THIS FEATURE WOULD REACH OUR NRN ZONES 23-00Z. LAPS
ANALYSIS SHOWS THAT THE AIRMASS IS QUITE UNSTABLE OVER SE TX WITH
CAPES OF 3000-4000 J/KG AND VIRTUALLY NO CAP. THINK TSRA WILL
CONTINUE TO DEVELOP ALONG RESIDUAL OUTFLOW BOUNDARIES THIS EVENING
WITH ACTIVITY BEING ENHANCED OVER OUR NRN ZONES AS THE MCS OR ITS
OUTFLOW ARRIVE FROM THE NORTH. HAVE PLACED 30-40 POPS NORTH/CENTRAL...
20 POPS COAST THIS EVENING. ISOLATED SEVERE STORMS WILL BE
POSSIBLE AS REFLECTED IN THE HWO.

If you'll enlarge the image by clicking on it, you can see them better. They are the circles for sky conditions at surface reporting stations.

There may be a weak seabreeze moving through northern Ft. Bend/Brazoria counties heading for southern Harris. We'll see soon if it has any affect on the outflow boundary..

Yea you can see it on the GR Level 3 radar. It looks like the two should meet somewhere around southwest Houston.

I saw it as well. If it holds together, and conditions in the atmosphere are or remain ripe, some people in some parts of Harris County could get more good soaking rain.

Hello all! Can someone please tell me what my area MAY see from these storms? I understand no one can be 100%, but I was going to fire up the grill and wanted to see what you all thought before I did that. Can we expect some storms/rain or will they dissipate before they can make it to my area or are they going to miss us all together? Thank you...I appreciate it :D
