NWS has a low of 33 here Monday morning. A freeze down here later next week looking more likely. It is still February…

If current conversation holds true long enough to be forecasted...

Interesting days ahead.

I’m getting concerned about another hard freeze down here. Lots of time to prepare though.

34°F IMFY last night. It's 37°F currently. Major advection N16 G 30.

Freezing or subfeezing tonight and Saturday, Sunday nights. Sunday could be a hard freeze.

Potential next wave, perhaps stronger in next midweek. Need to kill some weeds!

As suspected, the warm cold battles are beginning to stimulate some severe weather. Saturday marks the beginning of potentially an early and often severe weather season. Predominantly East of I-45 with an enhanced risk in LA and MS.

^ Impressive. That would take a wide snow pack north...and ICON delivers.

The ICON took the phrase “ When hell freezes over” literally lol, this is going to be an interesting week ahead, if we see anything close to what the ICON suggests, we will have grid problems

Cant say its not possible, their is enough ensemble guidance showing the possibility of a winter storm somewhere in the state , still 7 days out so alot can change, but what we know for certain is that the arctic cold is coming, and its got some serious legs to it

Don's high today in Wichita Falls may top out at freezing. Wind chill of 22°F. ;)

We're not getting out of the 40s with the northerly advection even in full sun.

Sign me up for some late February cold! March doesn’t look to warm up much in the first half with the MJO hanging out in favorable phases for cold.

Delay those consistent 80s and 90s as long as possible!

We are really going to watch the trends on this one. Bitter cold is possible. The jet stream is looking like it will dig really deep. Take all that into consideration with a strong storm system and boom.

In the interim, someone is going to get some really bad storms. All of that might stay east of us. It certainly bares watching.
