I hope central Texas gets a deluge. They already need it, but there are wildfires raging like crazy again.

Yes but I’m beyond annoyed how areas north of I-10 are getting it (some areas up there aren’t even in a drought) and areas south of there haven’t had much rain in months. I’ve had 6” all year. Last year at this time I was at 21”.

GFS is starting to cave to the Euro. It is slowly shifting south the heaviest rainfall totals each run.

This definitely needs to shift south:captainbarbossa19 wrote: ↑Sat May 21, 2022 12:45 pm GFS is starting to cave to the Euro. It is slowly shifting south the heaviest rainfall totals each run.

I’m right on the edge of it.

Will be interesting to see what happens with the line out west. Mesoscale models have various solutions per the AFD. I haven’t looked at any but will in a bit

If that pans out, I may as well drag my sprinklers out tomorrow.Cpv17 wrote: ↑Sat May 21, 2022 1:23 pmThis definitely needs to shift south:captainbarbossa19 wrote: ↑Sat May 21, 2022 12:45 pm GFS is starting to cave to the Euro. It is slowly shifting south the heaviest rainfall totals each run.

Interesting to see the HRRR try to spin up a weak low pressure area in the gulf on sunday/monday, though it would likely get pulled north as the front is nearby in SE Texas

Big south shift on 0z GFS of heaviest rainfall. Now shows 5 inch plus totals just NE of Houston.

Just a hair under 2” here in Fairfield. Really strong thunder and lightening for hours.
