Some reports of light sleet and snow reaching the ground in San Antonio and New Braunfels a bit earlier so you folks in our Northern areas may see some sleet and snow mixing. 32F here in NW Harris County and just virga at this time.

Changing over to mostly snow. Accumulating on elevated surfaces and grassy areas now. Surface streets are just wet...so far.

I'm having a real hard time believing these reports. TxJohn unequivocally told us earlier this week it wouldn't be cold enough to sleet or snow or anything. He said nothing would happen in SE Texas in terms of winter weather. ;)

Mixing with big ol sleep pellets as well...almost looks like graupel. It's accumulating. Doesn't look like it will last all that long but sure beats those 2 ice events we had!

Heavy sleet (large pellets) at 610/US 290 covering all elevated surfaces.

Temps. in Harris County still above freezing so accumulation will melt once precip moves out. North of freezing line accumulation may last longer.

Snow graupel here in Humble, its very pretty!
