NWS down to 34 tonight. If the wind stops, it’s gonna get frosty and very cold in unprotected pockets. Not taking chances - plumerias went back into the garage and I’ll cover my Ti plants later. The rest will be fine…

2 months of no winter and now we get a super late freeze to kill everything that bloomed.

30°F at the CLL airport on campus. 28.2°F low IMFY. The last light freeze of the season. We've had about 15 freezes this year. That and the high sodium and CaCl2 in the water are why I don't have tender or tropical plants. We're good. Anything to knock down the mosquitoes is a good thing.
In Aggieland, we see a light freeze around Spring Break every year. Then 80°F in a couple of days!
DP of 13°F - really nice out in today's sun with a very light breeze.

Darn - the 90s disappeared yesterday for the weekend outlook. Now they're back.

A dominant upper-level ridge and surface high pressure will continue
to block incoming strong frontal systems. Therefore, we can expect
little to no rainfall over the next 7 days.
Oy - crank up the sprinklers and A/C

This is a serious ridge of high pressure. Much of the CONUS will be warm

To have a ridge be above 594 DM heights with 100/110 degree temps beneath it is serious business for mid March! So thankful for the current weather around here for sure!
