Down to 33 or 32 just northwest of 610. Looks like temps will continue to drop from here as we head into one of the most interesting nights we have seen in a long time. Already seeing reports of freezing rain just west of 610 out by beltway 8.

The HRRR is showing squall line "like" banding features tonight...As i said yesterday this is basically a MCS but with heavy ice/snow instead of rain.

I'm definitely am this could be a once in a lifetime storm for us.
After holding steady at 33 all day, I have dropped to 31.6F with light freezing rain. Evaporative cooling did its thing.

In the Cinco Ranch/Katy area and we’ve been experiencing drizzle, transitioning to rain and then rain/sleet mix in the last little bit.

Light rain and 30.4 here in Fairfield. Small ice sickles forming on the garage. The rain must be going through the warm layer aloft as it’s actually warming the ground a bit based on my very unscientific IR temp gun.

It depends on the placement of the low along the coast. If we get southwest winds it won't take much to get temps into the upper 40s around here.Kingwood36 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 14, 2021 3:49 pm So yall are not buying the high of 37 for tue and the high of 50 for wed the nws is putting out?
