CPC in the 8-14 day outlook has the entire state of texas in above average precipitation. Pretty decent signal around the 20th on the EPS for a good cool down, maybe first decent front of the season? Lets hope, but i no longer see the endless heat misery crap in ensembles that’s been shown for the past 5-6 weeks . AI GEFS agrees with EPS on a FROPA around the 20th.

Some rain possible with the seabreeze and easterly disturbances this week from I-10 toward the coast mostly. The increase in CPC forecasts rain is in the 10-14 day range, consistent with a potential FROPA and ridge busting around September 20th seen on today's runs. Reasonable, but we'll see.
