I dont see much rotation in these....maybe a rain wrapped EF0 could be imbedded in these...

The storms definitely don't look as severe as the storms on the 9th. More widespread heavy rain, though.

the leading edge is on my door step....not much lightning to look at...just windy and dark...

Impressive storm system. It does appear a more widespread heavy rainfall event will be the 'big story'. 4.37 inches at my location added to the 1.67 from January 9th makes for a nice monthly recovery with our ongoing drought. I'm seeing some 6+ inch totals in the Dallas area and the Hill Country Lakes did well also.

* TORNADO WARNING FOR...
NORTHERN BRAZORIA COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST TEXAS...
NORTHWESTERN GALVESTON COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST TEXAS...
SOUTHERN HARRIS COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST TEXAS...

* UNTIL 1230 PM CST

* AT 1150 AM CST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO. THIS TORNADO
WAS LOCATED NEAR MANVEL... MOVING EAST AT 25 MPH.

* LOCATIONS IN THE TORNADO WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
PEARLAND AND FRIENDSWOOD.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE DURING A TORNADO IS IN THE INTERIOR HALLWAY OR
A ROOM SUCH AS A CLOSET ON THE LOWEST LEVEL OF A STURDY BUILDING. USE
BLANKETS OR PILLOWS TO COVER YOUR BODY AND ALWAYS STAY AWAY FROM
WINDOWS.

IF YOU ARE INSIDE A MOBILE HOME OR VEHICLE...EVACUATE THEM

I need your help. In the Galleria area for work with 80 other employees who live as far north as Tomball and as far south as Pearland.

Please help me figure out if I should be sending people home now or are we okay to stay until 5:00 pm?

You are better off keeping them there ..... should be ok by 5PM

Definitely keep them at work. If they head out now they'll be driving in the worst of the conditions that we'll experience. The back end of the squall line is almost to the Galleria area now. Should be all quiet with flooded streets clearing out by 3pm or so.
