We had a cold front overnight in the Smokey Mountains. I'm sitting on the front porch enjoying 64F at 7:30 PM. Just an early taste of what SE Texas will experience Thursday into next weekend.

Nice T’storms down here in Richmond area. Can’t complain one bit. Can’t wait until next Wed-Fri though!

Right on cue, all the good stuff dies as it gets near hwy 6.
And then reforms...south of me.

Looks like another front rolling down on the 19th to keep the fall weather going.

I’m no longer seeing any really cool readings behind this front. Looks like the models have trended to keeping the trough out west. We still could see low to mid 60’s for lows though. Looks like a decent chance of rain come mid week.

"IF" the front were to make it through; would that early passage signal an end to the dreaded last couple of weeks in September, as far as Hurricane probabilities for South East Texas?

Well I hope the GFS pans out. It has some decent rains here. The Euro not so much.

So close I can see and smell the rain. It better do something at my house for once.
Edit: Nope. The left cell blew up and the one south of me disintegrated. High and dry for the hundredth time. So damned frustrating.

Might not even be in the 60’s with the way the trends are going. In fact, the front may not even make it here.
