Sleet and very light snow flurries out near Lake Conroe as the moisture starts to move out.
Had a brief wintry mix here in The Woodlands/Waterway district by the mall...

Is there any chance that we will get a blanket of cloud cover tonight so that the temperatures will hover just above freezing? WeatherCaster says that our area will be 32F and below for 10 hours tonight and tomorrow morning....
Count me in on yearning for spring!

Now we're left with bitter temps and gusty winds that cut right through a person. How anyone could find this weather pleasant and prefer this to warm shorts weather, remains a mystery to me? Now, I must get ready for work and dress in layers, oh what fun.
per the calendar its still winter....hot heat and shorts will you to be in your prime shortly

I'd say there is a difference between 75 and 95. Look, I like 4 seasons. I hate 5 degrees and 95 degrees but I'd rather have 25 than 95.
I like 75 and sunny with a breeze in the Spring. I absolutely loathe anything over 80 with humidity and no breeze. Yeah, yeah, I know I live in Houston. I only live here because of the financial opportunities afforded to its people. Houston has a fantastic economy. That's where it stops for me. The weather and concrete jungle are not appealing to me and it's why I choose to drive as far as I do for work. I live in the woods of NW MoCo.

85 to 95 is what I'm acclimated to. Not nearly as old as srain or wxman, but 50's less than three years away. Lived here since I was 3 1/2 so warm or hot and humid is what my body thrives on. Hey, seeing some snow in winter, I'm all for it, but we rarely get that. What we normally get is what we've got this winter, cold and wet. Time for Spring, humidity, and most importantly "WARMTH".

We had a light frost with a low temperature of 28F here in NW Harris County. Freezing temperatures did not last the 10 hours as expected. Changes begin to develop by Sunday as that pesky Baja Low and upper trough begins to bring disturbances across the Southern half of Texas and a Coastal trough develops increasing our rain chances by late afternoon into at least the middle of next week. This morning there is some doubt that the unsettled pattern will exit E by Wednesday as another Baja Low digs south setting the stage for possibly an extended wet week ahead. The 7 Day QPF suggests some rather impressive rainfall amounts are possible. We will see. It is sort of what we would expect with an El Nino like pattern across our Region as tropical moisture from the Eastern Pacific streams ENE across Mexico and the NW Gulf Coast.

I had a low of 30F. Just some light frost on the rooftops, didn't really notice any on the ground. Good gawd I hope this is the last freeze of the season.
It feels great outside right now, in the sun. Looking forward to some spring warmth. I can deal with the rain. It sure beats looking at the trees slowly die.

already some rain here. they may need to add rain chances for today. looks like even some storms are popping-up.

We are entering a very unsettled and unstable period regarding our sensible weather. The pesky upper trough appears to be stuck across Mexico, Texas and Louisiana for the foreseeable future. To add to the mix, a very strong MJO pulse is moving E across the Pacific. Abundant Eastern Pacific moisture with embedded disturbances riding S of the Polar jet to our North as well as a Coastal trough developing tends to spell a very wet and possibly unsettled pattern well into the mid March timeframe. Some locations could see at least 4 to 6 inches of rainfall with a potential of some higher rainfall totals where training elevated storms develop.
