34 degrees in CLL . 27 in Waco where I will bre traveling later. Worried about freezing rain, sleet.
Nearly 50 degree drop as expected and front barreled through the coast. Never underestimate these shallow cold air masses that slide down the spine of the Rockies! Almost alway outperform the models. Especially over a snow cap north of Texas.

.AVIATION [18Z TAF Issuance]...
The surface cold front has continued to move offshore this
morning, resulting in a north wind shift at all TAF sites. Despite
this, the shallow nature of the boundary has proved favorable for
persistent MVFR to IFR cigs along with scattered showers. This
pattern should persist through the duration of the TAF period,
with conditions expected to deteriorate below IFR thresholds
through the rest of the day today and remain within IFR thresholds
into tomorrow. With precipitation coverage remaining scattered to
isolated, have maintained VCSH wording at all sites. However, at
CLL, forecast soundings suggest the potential for some brief FZRA
so have included TEMPO wording for this possibility tonight. Winds
begin to taper off by tomorrow afternoon, with cloud cover and
precipitation remaining persistent.

18z HRRR keeps Houston in the 40's again all day tomorrow. 40's as well on Friday at noon. It's possible we don't reach 50 until Saturday or Sunday

You’re probably too young to get the joke. It was cute for a few minutes in 2005 and then got WAY overplayed.Stratton20 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 23, 2022 1:54 pm jasons2k im from katy haha, it got old after the first week lol
