Good report from Jeff.

Euro has Beryl washing ashore as a strong CAT1 around Palacios. The CoC goes right over CLL Mon pm.

I'm under an inland Hurricane Warning, I come to Bay City for a few weeks and a Hurricane comes just a couple of months after dealing with the Derecho. LOL

Lol!! You’re gonna love it though Don. I know you’re kinda like me. We both love a good storm. Hope it’s nothing too crazy though. I’m under a Tropical Storm Warning here in Wharton County.

LOL as long as it stays a category 1. I wouldn't be surprised to see a hurricane warning issued for Wharton county also.Especially if it gets to a strong cat 1 or cat 2.

The 18Z HAFS models show Beryl getting to a category 2.

I have a weird feeling this might try to blow up into a low end cat 3 at landfall, I dont trust Beryl at all lol

intensity forecasts are sometimes a crapshoot so I wouldn't be surprised.

Is it possible Beryl still jogs east on landfall or is it a done deal for Matagorda area? Will strength also make a difference?

A strengthening Cat 2 at landfall, IMO is worse than a weakening Cat 3

When will conditions start to go down hill? I gotta unload some crates with a fork lift tomorrow at 5 pm..
