I'm expecting a Blue Norther next week, one model showed 50s and sunny skies to Below Zero and snow in just 12 hours!

I’m not worried about that. The GFS is actually looking better for us overall the past few runs. A few more shifts and we could be in the ballgame. Plenty of time.

Their is still a lot of time for things to change lol, the GFS is known for showing something exciting, then dropping it, only to bring it back again once we get into the short range , the trough position is getting better by each run and that is a good thing, plus the mesocale models might do a better job of sniffing out any sort of disturbance that moves in behind the Siberian airmass in. place once they get into range

There was only a 20 percent chance of light rain today and it sure looks like way more than that around. It really came down in that line. Did a model catch this for today?

Time to start monitoring our source region in Yukon (NW Canada) to see just how cold it gets up there.

Yep, plenty of time to watch the models progress as we move through the weekend but its time to start thinking about freeze preps especially if you will be traveling away from home next week for Christmas weekend.
