None of the forecast models had them lingering over Texas at this time.
August 2020:
Not at all. It will depend on how strong Laura is when she clears Cuba. If Laura's path remains south and there is little disruption by the mountains, then a stronger Laura would mean a more westward path.
So if I’m reading into this correctly it appears that a stronger Marco would send Laura further west towards Texas and a weaker Marco would send Laura into Louisiana?

Wxman57 states that Marco will be a naked convectionless swirl by Tuesday.

Has anyone verified the forecast from Wxman57 of a Freeport landfall for Laura?
Marco's calling everyone out as he made it to hurricane force winds.Kingwood36 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2020 4:32 pm Everytime my kids say Pollo when I'm talking about marco I take a shot...lol you can imagine how my day is going![]()

Will it be a naked swirl even if it stays offshore?
I think so because of shear? Someone correct me if I’m wrong.
That's correct. At one time he had a Freeport Landfall for Marco. I have not seen him post a landfall forecast for Laura yet, but he has hinted that he favors the westward trend (as do most mets seem to be doing ATTM).
I was shocked the NHC cone shifted at all. I expect the Euro to come back west especially if Laura manages to skirt mostly south of Cuba.

You would think if Marco remnants make it here, the increased moisture would create more daytime activity even as a post tropical low.
Question: i would have thought with the new marco track into setx, why didnt they extend the watches/Warnings? How soon can I expect to get a watch here in Beaumont?
