Wow - Major outflow, cold front accelerating through here with straight line wind gust of 40-50 mph. I wonder if that will force the line of storms to hop over us?
Hope damage and injuries are minimal in Akr-LA-Tex. A terrible outbreak of tornadoes.
You had the outflow already?
Looks like any discrete / scattered pre-frontal cells are falling apart at this point. Instability is down a notch now with the loss of daytime heating. Any rain and action will come from the main line which is becoming linear at this point. I’ll probably get 1/4 - 1/2” and a bunch of junk in the yard.
Yeah - any severe threat is over. The cold front caught up with the super cell lines and reduced the temperature gradient feeding the storms. We're just getting some light rain. Better than nothing.
The cold air is now 10-15 miles ahead of the line of showers. There could be a second line forming near The Woodlands due to lift. We'll see.

Sure enough. Outflow visible on the KIAH terminal radar.

That bad news is that the line of showers is kind of broken. The good news is that the cells within the line are moving NNE and we have a potent cell migrating over us now. The first steady, hard rain that going to clear an inch in one line of showers, trough, MCV, w/e in 6 long months.
Fingers crossed - sprinklers on OFF until April or May.

Yeah, it appear we might have gotten very lucky, escaping the severe weather while getting a soaking.
Even if it were 3-4 inches of rainfall, the ground would have no trouble absorbing it.
Our plants won't know what to do with low sodium (rain)water at a neutral or slightly acidic pH, instead of our alkaline water.

DoctorMu damage is bad, saw several videos of homes that were completely wiped out
just awful to see
I saw a clip from a storm chaser with a boat on top of a car. The home was reduced to sticks. Very, very bad looking.

Hell, I forgot about the game!
It looks like 11 played double digit minutes. It's only exhibition, but the scouts may have underestimated Soloman Washington. LA player of the year, but only a 3*. 44% 3FG shooting for the Ags and held Kingsville to 28% shooting.
Buzz is going to give the opponents 40 min of hell, every night.

I’ll be happy if I can get a quarter inch.

Just saw a video of a family in north texas with their children standing where their house used to be, now just a pile of rubble… You hate to see it, absolutely breaks my heart for folks that were unfortunate enough to be in the crosshairs of any tornado this evening

I still stand by what I said a few days back about seeing a decent front during the second half of November.

Cpv17 ensembles are looking pretty good for colder weather, below average the entire run on the GEFS and EPS
