Good! We need it, because I'm afraid this Summer might suck.

I’ve been chilly for 24 hours. Only stepping down from here. In the 40s at the moment.
We were supposed to be in the 70s yesterday afternoon. lol We've mostly been in the 40s and upper 30s since yesterday afternoon. The high yesterday was at midnight. Today's high was also at midnight! That would be a trend. No question about overperforming.

Something we've see all winter, including the event (or not) of Jaν 10th, and in the next week, is a massive temperature gradient. Just 10 miles could make a huge difference from Hwy Lucy to the coast. VERY difficult to predict.

I mean why not right? Everything else since last January has been extreme.

Damn I'm at 75 wth lol
The front has already made it through most of southeast Texas.
Not through Angleton
The front is about Holiday Lakes - less than 5 miles away. Should be pushing through soon.

Looks like 18z did get even colder. More whites on the Tropical Tidbits scale around the area.

Maybe it’s the same system but arriving earlier? Guess we’ll know tomorrow when Thursday is added to the 7-day forecast.

Yeah I’m not too worried about that though. With these temps being forecasted I just don’t see that much of a difference whether you’re a bit north or south of I-10.

Man. Someone sounded the alarm! Mets and NWS all over the state and Louisiana are blowing up newscasts and facebook trying to get the word out. (I dont blame them) Met in Beaumont is calling for all of the above Monday to fall now with lows down to 19.

Saturday. Possibly Friday if models trend stronger with the potential for ice late Saturday.

Isn’t that the truth.. 2004 was a fairly active season and we know what came after, 2017 had snow after Harvey. 2020 was the active hurricane season on record and there has already been some significant snow in College Station up into East TX. Now we are looking at possible winter storm over the course of a few days (KHOU had snow Monday and Thursday on their newscast just a bit ago)!

It’s going to be an interesting winter weather week ahead.. I never thought I’d say that I’m Houston lol. One day? Sure, but a week? Just wow!
