I had to re-stake one of my Live Oak plantings. The wind blew it sideways. I thought it had snapped at first but it's OK.

I’m in Tarkington Prairie (northern liberty county) and I’m surprised at how gusty it’s been the last couple hours.

That was crazy! 80 mph winds Greg just said. Was NOT expecting that. Will be without power for a while now. Ive gotta get out and cut some of these trees over the road or someone is gonna drive into them. Stay safe my friend. That was WILD!!!

Waaaay worse than expected here. No one knew that solid last hour was coming. 80 sustained. Let the cleanup begin. Now cutting trees from the roads so folks can pass. Stay safe everyone...

Yeah, it was a bad angle with a much wider eye. That eyewall was right on top of the Texas Coast angling in.

Just watch, the tropical takeover is happening. Very soon, Houston will regularly see those hot 90F winter days just like the Rio Grande Valley & tropical Mexico.

Good chance we don’t see any rain the rest of the month of October. La Niña sucks.
