All good here near Lake Conroe Dam. Leading edge had maybe a 30mph wind gust for 30 seconds then a good ol fashion turd floater after it. The radar looked way worse. The way it was looking we were fixing to get hammered.

There are multiple reports of wind damage coming in across the area.
Finally it looks like the Euro might be catching on to the cold spell. Day 9 & 10 are looking good on the 0z Euro. On day 10 it has a 1049mb high near Montana with a big blast of cold air headed down the plains straight towards Texas.

We had a tragedy at the house. We were under the tornado warned cell in Magnolia and our barn was destroyed and my boys new horse (Christmas present) was killed in the storm.
150 yards to the SW and our house would have taken the brunt of that wind.
Hard coming back in and telling your 7 and 4 year old their horse is dead 2 weeks after our 15 year old dog passed.

Thanks y’all! I got the chainsaw out making a path to get him removed. I’m just trying to figure out how, at this point, to drag him out of here without bringing anything to heavy back here.
It’s so wet that machinery will get stuck. Maybe Animal control has a way?
