That is my concern. Too many folks (not on this board) sleeping on this storm.stormlover wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2019 10:51 pm https://www.tropicaltidbits.com/analysi ... 91800&fh=1

Man oh man
The circulation we had been focusing on all evening appears to have almost devolved into a small meso vortex around what is now a broader circulation right over the loop.
Not sleeping for sure.
4 hours of straight rain here in Friendswood.

It’s not going anywhere
Weird...all recent models are still showing high rain totals but the storm appears to be weakening as it moves north. What am I missing here?
Yeah the old LLC rotated south toward Richmond/Rosenberg and a more broad center has become dominant, now drifting north towards Jersey Village. It will be an eventful overnight but I need sleep - have an 8:15 presentation at the office. Goodnight everyone and stay safe!! Could be a long couple of days ahead. It’s not over ‘till it’s over!
Man I would like to know the rain totals here in Friendswood, just from 8pm.
For those wondering if it's all quiet, just wait. Things are supposed to get cooking again pretty strongly in the morning, especially once the we get closer to dmax.
What is the dmax? I've heard y'all mention it but not sure. Things are quiet in the Hockley area. Not sure if we will see the heavy rainfall totals it seems.
Diurnal max. I'm not the best to explain it, but deals with atmospheric warming and cooling.
We are at 4 inches and counting in Rosharon. Have friends in Alvin-Friendswood area with close to 8
Thank you. Stay safe!Cromagnum wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2019 11:50 pmDiurnal max. I'm not the best to explain it, but deals with atmospheric warming and cooling.

Has to be close to 8 or more.
And looks like a small stall again.

Interactive map you can zoom into your neighborhood. Looks like Friendswood has picked up between 6-7 inches. Turkey Creek nearing 8 inches.

Thank you. Looks like I’m right about 7 and some change.
Very intense rainfall rates popping down by Sargent and towards Freeport.
