Nope, the weather is miserable. We start covering plants this afternoon after work. Probably pull the staghorn fern down and put it in the toolshed this weekend. We need to put the scaffolding up first.
Just heard on NPR that the freeze watch for the Houston region will likely become a freeze warning later today.

Ascent or lift increasing to our SW as forcing from that cold upper trough slowly advances East from West Texas. Expected reports of flurries and ice pellets to increase the next couple of hours as the bands push across SE Texas.

Tail end of upper level trough appears to have just enough mid level moisture to work with to produce isolated sleet and snow showers this morning. While radar is showing a fairly widespread area of returns, much of this is not reaching the ground due to a very dry sub cloud layer air mass. However there have been several reports of very light sleet and snow pellets from NW Harris County westward to I-35 where some of the stronger radar returns are currently found. Additionally, temperatures are in the mid 30’s to lower 40’s over much of the region which is resulting in anything that reaches the ground melting on contact and there is no threat for any ice on any bridges or overpasses.
Main lift should progress through the area by noon with light precipitation ending.
Freezing warning is in effect for nearly the entire area for tonight except for the immediate coastal locations. Skies will slowly clear late this afternoon and with a very cold air mass in place sub-freezing temperatures are expected over a large part of the area. Lows will range from 27-30 north of HWY 105 to 29-32 north of a line from Bay City to Angleton to Pasadena to Winnie and then above 32 south of that line.
Another freeze is possible for much of the area again on Thursday morning before a warming trend.
Latest trends continue to suggest a fairly warm and stormy Thanksgiving week.

You take what you can get on November 13, 2018...I think..and I maybe way off ( this is a Steve question..our long range pro met), this maybe a harbinger of things to come...
Earliest trace of snow reported in November is 11/23/1979 at IAH followed by 11/28/1976. Watching the weather observer at IAH closely to see if they report -sn today as the precipitation is too light for the automated sensor to record.

Meso banding is increasing over SE Texas as the upper trough nears our area. Look for sleet/snow flurries (graupel) to spread further SE over the next hour or so. Folks across the Inner City and locations S and E will probably see light wintry mischief floating in the air.

Has a few nice sleet/snow showers just south of Lake Conroe Dam! Pretty darn cool, especially this early in the season. This is hopefully setting the stage for a big snow storm as the season progresses.
