Patricia Herman, known as Ticka here on our board, unexpectedly passed away yesterday morning. I just wanted to honor her with our KHOU weather family. She was a good person, and we are already missing her. Please pray for her husband and family. Their loss is great. Go hug someone you love and tell them you love them. Your next breath on earth isn’t guaranteed, but the guarantee we all have is eternal life. It can be spent in Heaven or Hell. Only through Jesus Christ can we enter Heaven because of His sacrifice. Please, if you haven’t accepted Christ as your Savior and Lord, don’t wait. Do so now. Thank you.

Ticka was one of the original members of the KHOU Board dating back to 2001. I am heartbroken at her sudden passing. My prayers are with her husband Donny and all of her Family. Let this be a lesson that NO ONE is promised tomorrow. Cherish your friends and hold them tight!

Man this was sudden. My cousin called me Thursday night to tell me. She (my cousin) is married to Ticka's husband 's (Donny) brother. Our prayers go out to their family.

It seems like yesterday that I met Ticka on GoPBI’s Storm 97 weather forum and was an honor to meet her and her husband Donny in 2012 at Kemah. I will miss her posts on the KHOU 11 forum but I know she will be watching down us during each weather event. Very sad and Prayers for her family.

I met Ticka back in the mid to late 1990s when we both participated in a weather chat group on IRC (Internet Relay Chat). This may have been before Windows 95 came out. Long time ago. Sad to hear the news.
