Here's a movie of the snow and me in the sleet. Some of the flakes are large (nickle-sized). Nothing too heavy. Video is 144mb and may take a bit to load before it plays.

Radar is really showing things drying up now.
So much for a chance at snow this evening.
Yep. Looks like the precip is done for us. But it’s gonna be a cold one tonight!
got freezing rain/sleet/snow here at the house! temps are 26. interesting weather event!!!
It's mid-20s already from College Station down to La Marque. That's amazing.davidiowx wrote:Yep. Looks like the precip is done for us. But it’s gonna be a cold one tonight!
4th event with winter precipitation. One 5 inch snowfall, two with a trace of snow. We'll call this 1/4 inch of sleet/ice. Much more south of here from Navasota to the coast for many of you.
Maybe we can squeeze 1 more out of this winter...isnt Febuary our "snowiest" month?DoctorMu wrote:It's mid-20s already from College Station down to La Marque. That's amazing.davidiowx wrote:Yep. Looks like the precip is done for us. But it’s gonna be a cold one tonight!

HRRR is clearing out things pretty rapidly tonight and has temps in the Houston area reaching 18-20 degrees. As a result road conditions will further deteriorate. Good call that most schools delayed or canceled.

As the moisture departs a few flurries floated gracefully to the Earth as if to mock.
The snow and sleet was fun, but wow it’s gonna be chilly tonight. Maybe the coldest night since I moved here.
