Yep - Temps are starting to tank here. Hearne is about 34°F. Chance of wintry mix, including snow, from Hearne to Temple to Waco now in this afternoon's forecast. Waco is receiving freezing drizzle now. Would not be surprised to CLL in for a little freezing drizzle or whatever by sunset. Looks like we down to Nowcasting again.

Temperatures are below freezing at the surface, so icing of some roads and bridges will be a possibility. This precipitation could be in the form of freezing rain or drizzle also mixed with some snow or sleet. Congratulations. Unexpected events are always special and particularly on New Year's Eve!
Unbelievable. Twice in a month, much less a season here in the Brazos Valley! A bit sticking to cars, grass...but the heaviest snow remains West and still moving towards Austin to maybe hempstead and NW Narris Co. Nothing like the Dec 7 event. The level of snowfall would stick around for 2-3 days after this front.
One of the best parts was to hear kids literally screaming in delight around the neighborhood. Happy New Year, and may it be the best yet, including weathewise!
