Well, KHOU is located there on Allen Parkway. They just showed Stanford street at their studios with water quickly flowing towards Buffalo Bayou. They're in the middle of the feeder band.
So, I'd watch channel 11, since they're at the location you are asking about because the water may go into their studios...again.
The Flood Warning System is slow to update, right now.

those are incredible... thank Kelly for all of us & thank you for sharing them with us, too !
I live 5 miles SE of Hobby, that report of over 9 inches in the past hour and a half I can believe. I've never seen my neighborhood flood so fast before and my neighborhood hardly floods - we have very good drainage. I'm very worried this is going to be a bad night for not only my home, but many other people.
HRRR is doing an EXCELLENT job right now of showing these feederbands developing and the rainfall totals. If that is any sign, the latest HRRR models are definitely not showing any relief.
Core rains happen near the core or center of low pressure.
Core rains happen because the warm core low pressure and cooler ambient temperature. The thunderstorms happen near the center, hence the name core rain.
Core rains can occur with any low pressure as long it is a warm core low pressure. They can be non-tropical in origin.
