If any of you are planning to ride to Austin this weekend on the annual MS-150, then you need to plan for rain on Sunday. While Saturday looks good - tail wind and warm temps - Sunday doesn't look as good. A major storm system is moving across the southern Rockies. This storm system will reach the Austin area by Sunday afternoon.

Expect widespread showers developing between La Grange & Austin by late Sunday morning. There's a good chance of a squall line developing west of Austin Sunday morning then moving eastward into the ride route by early to mid afternoon. I'm pretty sure you WILL be riding through rain at some point on Sunday, possibly heavy rain with thunderstorms.

Keep an eye on the weather during the ride on Sunday and be ready to take cover (if you can find any).

Looks like they just cancelled the 2nd day. It will be a one day event and end in La Grange.

I'm sure it was a difficult decision, but I think it's the right one given the chance of severe weather before the riders reach Austin on Sunday.
