Also, run the flushdns command. I would also suggest spybot search and destroy, along with Eset nod32 antivirus.
Other than that, if there are many folks having trouble with this site, then I would suggest that srain's computer is fine.
Hmmm!
I would need to know the access error he is gettin. Let me know if I can be of any help to you.
If that Canadian is right --- which it is probably overdone, there will be significant snow fall totals for East TX/Central TX on Thu night...maybe a few spots pick up 5-6". Although it will be a very wet snow.

And you see I have quoted you from another channel txagwxman..LOL The sleet around Houston Metro...a suprise?
I am curious, in the areas there reporting sleet, what are the surface temps? Has the wet bulb effect taken over?

I can get here, but not to the S2K site now...wxdata wrote:He can't even access the site, which is leading me to believe it may be a virus or DNS problem for him. I'm heading to his house this afternoon with my IT briefcase to get him back on line. That's why the post from Christine Di Stadio if anyone else was having issues..wxman57 wrote:Got a PM from srainhou that he's apparently locked out of this forum. They're working to get him back in.

It is about 40 here in the tyler/longview area. dewpoints are 20 degrees. Cloudy, with no moisture at present. I hope that transcends to snow later on
tiny sleet again in wharton county!
Hi everyone!!! Just joined after lurking for some time.
Can any of the promets on the site specifically speak of Bryan, Texas and what we might get and when? I keeping getting excited and anxious all at the same time but figure it will probably be like every other time and we get nothing but nasty cold rain. Bryan is about 8 miles north from College Station and see CLL being mentioned every once in a while.
Thanks so much in advance.

45 degrees down that way and sleeting? Pics or it didn't happen.

i seen it with my own eyes a few times today...still hear it clinking just a tiny bit on the a/c unit. i wouldn't lie about it!! as i said, it's very very tiny. wish i could take a video.
That's why I was wondering what the surface temps were reading, redneck. We are watching this development closely here in New Orleans.redneckweather wrote:45 degrees down that way and sleeting? Pics or it didn't happen.
By the way, did you guys know the Saints won the Super Bowl?

I heard about it but I haven't kept up with the NFL ever since my beloved Oilers skipped out of town. I was a huge, and I mean HUGE Oilers fan. I'm still heart broken that we don't have the Oilers anymore. I guess I will becomes a Saints fan now.

I will be happy simply to see sleet falling through the air and hearing it striking various surfaces. Yes, that would make me happy, Ed Mahmoud.Ed Mahmoud wrote:Got a report via interweb aquaintance of some sleet between Brenham and College Station. Brenham is 42ºF, but the DP is 21ºF.
If it makes Sleetstorm happy, even though it'll never stick, who am I to complain?

AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HOUSTON/GALVESTON TX
253 PM CST WED FEB 10 2010
.DISCUSSION...
AN INCREASE IN MOISTURE COUPLED WITH A WEAK UPPER LEVEL
DISTURBANCE HAS PRODUCED PERIODS OF VERY LIGHT RAIN MIXED AT TIMES
WITH SLEET. THE SUB CLOUD LAYER IS VERY DRY AND PRECIPITATION IS
EVAPORATING AS IT FALLS COOLING THE COLUMN AND MAKING IT JUST COLD
ENOUGH FOR SLEET TO MAKE IT TO THE GROUND. WILL CARRY A MIX OF
LIGHT RAIN AND SLEET FOR THIS EVENING. AS MOISTURE INCREASES
TONIGHT...THE EVAPORATIVE EFFECTS WILL LESSEN AND THE COLUMN WILL
WARM AND END THE THREAT FOR MIXED PRECIPITATION.
