The forum software is an upgraded version and it's running on a different server now. Both reasons made re-registering necessary.

It is a radar image of the 1974 Zenia, Ohio F5 tornado. You can see the hook echo at the bottom. It is amazing how much radars have changed since then.

Oh the Super Outbreak, boy was that day a doozie of a day. For those who do not know or are too young to remember ( I actually do remember watching it on the news).

Hello Steve, a little more than a weather spotter I do believe but that works, besides maybe somebody will give me a break so I can get some sleep up here with that! I'll do what I can from up here in Indiana. I come from the town the movie Hooisers with Gene Hackman was about....the cinderalla basketball team who won the Indiana State Champsionship in 1954 and in the Ohio River valley version of tornado alley which becomes very active from April 1 thru July. Thanks for the welcome aboard Steve and I'll check in again soon.

I just didn't want to give away all your secrets Dave. ;) Actually ai9d has an interesting Job with Ripley County IN Emergency Management - Weather Operations. ai9d is one of the most knowledgeable severe weather folks I communicate with besides wxdata. We are glad you are a member here Dave and look forward to your thoughts in the days and weeks ahead. I suspect wxdata will be working on a new Severe Weather Specialist Tag for you as well.

We are getting reports that folks are having some issues logging in for the first time. Remember that if you were a member of the "old Forum" you will need to re register for the new Weather forum. Most of the screen names from the old board are still available. Please make sure you re register and then you will be set to post in the Weather Forum. Welcome back folks!

Just a short 5 months ago we transitioned from our 'old forum' to our new home. Take a look back in time to where we have come. There is a lot of good information shared for almost 5 years and lots of historial data. Oh, and don't forget the "z"...and page down...
