I dunno...most people I know who relocated here from up north occasionally complain in the summer but wouldn't trade it or move back for anything. But I do know a *handful* of people who can't stand the heat and would move up north if they could. They seem to be the minority though, and they are usually folks who never had to shovel snow before and just think the grass is greener.

Everyone has their own preference and since it's a subjective thing, no opinion is right or wrong. And no matter what it is, it has no effect on the weather. If mother nature cared at all what I thought, our climate would be like Honolulu. :)

After a week of hyping tornadoes, severe wind and possibly hail this thing blows in like a lamb for most of us. Not even a clap of thunder here on the NW side of Houston.

Still 81 degrees here in Stafford, winds are really picking up. I went outside and secured our gas grill as even though it has brakes,it was getting blown across the patio with some of the wind gusts.

Pretty much. Nothing to see here but a little cool breeze and a quick bout of rain.

Hearing rumbles of thunder now in NW Harris County as storms develop closer to the N and W Loop. Temp has dropped to a chilly 57F with a gusty NW wind. Had a peak gust to 47 MPH with the front and actually lost power for a bit.
