We had some straight line winds up to 35+mph here at Smith Point around 2:30 with lightning. Rain total @ 4:00 is .14

Sure felt like a post Labor Day morning today with a chilly 68F.
Odd and very un-August like.
Kind of nice though!

Bluejay, we didn't have your level of "chill" up here in Grimes County but it sure did feel nice.

Looking East and seeing Orion's Belt in the very, very early morning sky always gives me a comforting feeling that Fall is not too far away.

Spoiler alert: TS Erika continues to go further west than forecasters say. Gut feeling is our forecast for next week, rainwise, may be dependent on future track of TS Erika.
