Just hit 39 here in Beaumont! Is it just me or does it seem the 30s arrived way sooner than expected?

Everyone be safe and stay warm. Getting ready to leave Downtown Houston to head home. Traffic is horrible because of the rain..So hoping it is not to long of a commute home.

Greetings, all. I'm on a road trip with a coworker. Just crossed from Alabama into Mississippi. We fly back to Houston tomorrow afternoon (maybe). As to your question about weatherbug or obs on weather underground, the temps may or may not be accurate. Thermometer exposure (height, location with respect to heat sources, etc.), along with how accurately calibrated the thermometer is will affect readings. Because of exposure and/or calibration issues, some of the temps you see from amateur weather stations may be "suspect".

It's currently 38 degrees here in NW Harris County and it's drizzling steadily quite a bit. Wind is gusting....

The 23Z RAP suggests the precipitation field will drop further to the S and E during the overnight hours.
