Same here Rip! Im usually in bed by now, but this is the "make it or break it" moment!

OMG didn't realize it was already 11! I'll have to leave it up to you guys for the night. We could wake up and have to put preparations into high gear. I hope I don't miss too much!! :o

The reason I like this link
http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/mobile/sat_zoom ... _loop.html

Is because you can watch the mass as a whole, and not try and dissect some large satellite pic.

I can't recall if SE TX has ever had a "coastal hugger" move into our area from the east/north east. I've seen thus before with storms moving up the coast from the sw, but never recall having a storm creep in from this direction (if on fact that's what Isaac decides to do) Thoughts anyone?

Been looking at radar and over the past two hours and it looks like the center has been moving approximately 260 degrees. This could also partly be due to eye consolidation though.

I think I'm going to have a cup. It might be a long night if that wobble continues.

Same here for a good 10 minutes or so. It's back on now.

*Edit to say that they are streaming their coverage live on weather.com if you have a laptop and your TV is out.

I think this may be more than a wobble. Issac has nowhere to go

GFS ran. I am not where I can post images at the moment. It looked like it was a tad east of the previous run. But not by much.
Needless to say, no huge shift west.

My uneducated opinion is that the longer it "wobbles" or even backs to the south the smaller the window gets for it to move north

Couple of things.
It's been traveling West for at least 4 hours.

I have a feeling that Lindner is getting some sleep.

I have a feeling we will see more of Neil Frank tomorrow.

And, this coffee is good.

I think the models are useless right now - this is the time for nowcasting what you see is what you get. Just saying.
