3. AN AREA OF CLOUDINESS AND THUNDERSTORMS HAS DEVELOPED OVER THE
WESTERN GULF OF MEXICO. SURFACE PRESSURES ARE RELATIVELY HIGH IN
THIS AREA...AND DEVELOPMENT...IF ANY...SHOULD BE SLOW TO OCCUR.
THIS SYSTEM HAS A LOW CHANCE...10 PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL
CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS AS IT MOVES NORTHWARD AT 5 TO 10
MPH.

Looks like the mid level circulation could be due east of corpus, I know earlier in one of the HPC discussion, the offshore mid level low was supposed to move due north if I recall.

Yes sir, they did. Conditions do not look favorable, but as we know these quick spin ups in the Western Gulf can be a nightmare ala Humberto. Gene mentioned it last night in the Atlantic Discussion thread.

Models have become more bullish with rainfall amounts tomorrow, especially the RAP; showing amounts nearing 3 inches in the coastal counties by mid afternoon with heavy rain continuing. Nam Looks wetter this evening as well...
