Unfortunately as long as SW flow aloft remains over the region, there is little change in the thinking regarding tomorrow on into next week. We are stuck in a damp pattern that doesn't appear to be changing anytime too soon. At least we'll have 'cooler temps'. I feel your pain, niner21. We need to pour a foundation and everyday it rains, the further behind schedule we get...
There was 9-10 months of dry hot weather - let us folks that like the wet cool weather have our turn. This is Texas - move the party indoors and/or into the Garage. These rains are making a dent in our devastating drought. I for one am very thankful and will continue to pray that it keeps raining daily until our drought is gone. Enjoyed waking up this morning to rain falling! Nice and peaceful.
The 12Z WRF/NMM suggests otherwise. Frankly I have very little confidence in all guidance in this current pattern as we have seen daily busts regarding rainfall. No model projected 6-10 inches of rain in Burleson and Brazos Counties yesterday and overnight nor did they suggest numerous tropical funnel clouds across the region yesterday...

Totally agree! We NEED the rain...Superbowl parties happen in sub zero weather...so a little rain is nothin'...if you let a little rain stop you...you aren't doin' it right!

I agree Ticka - so nice to see rain for a change and things greening-up again. The lakes need it to so we won't have chaos this summer with power plants shutting down causing brownouts, etc.
The rain just stopped up here. I see a few showers along the NW side may clip us, so I'll wait to check my total.

Awww, here ... let me cry some crocodile tears.
Only picked up a half inch in southwest Austin overnight but the eastern end of the city and Travis County received about 1.5 inches. Looked like the system formed into a more linear MCS after it moved through our part of the state.
Looking forward to seeing the 12z medium-range guidance to see if the ridge-trough pattern is still there on the GFS and Euro.

and sweating!!! Your days are coming soon wxman - trust me I see alot of sunny days with 90 degrees in the fast approaching. Those model runs will be showing up in about 90 day range!

I rarely see models projecting +10 inches of rain in Texas outside of a tropical storm or hurricane. I see that happening in the Pacific Northwest.

Actually, mosquitoes never bother me. They don't seem to like the taste of my blood. And nothing like a hard 4-5 hour ride in the heat with salt crusting on my forehead. Can't wait!
I'm all for rainy days but I've got things to do and frankly I don't get paid until I'm done with a house so the delay due to weather is costing me. Also, when it does rain things get muddy and then muddy costs $$$$ to get cleaned up inside and out of a house.
You can enjoy your rain but don't bash for wanting it to come in the dead of night and dry up by daytime.
And, I can't move a 12'x8' projector screen inside so give me a break for the rain and my 75 guests.
Yes, tired of the rain. Ready for some heat and sunshine. 12.32" for the year, same as I had Jan-Oct last year. I think there's a fair chance that tomorrow's rain will stay to our south.

Raining in the middle of the night would suit me just fine....of course a flood in the middle of the night is another story...So rain during the night...but if it's going to flood then let that happen during the day.

Areas south are in an Exceptional Drought, so they could use the rain.
Can anyone verify this talk I hear of more storms and/or rain moving through the coastal counties over night tonight? Was just wondering if they were gonna be severe or just mostly rain...Thank you.
