Wow...I was jolted awake about 2am this morning here in Beaumont to find BAD lightning (the scary kind) and Niagra Falls in my front yard! We picked up 0.66" of rain in about 10 minutes time. The major rains have not even started for the day here yet... I'm so excited to see how much more we get when this "main" event begins! Stay safe everyone and ENJOY!!

We'll need to monitor new storm development NW of Victoria. This complex appears to be tracking along the boundary NE following the ealier complex that is nearing our area now.

It would appear that the bow echo entering western Fort Bend is traveling along the front/ surface wave...where low level SRH is maximized. Also RUC soundings indicates slightly backed low level winds....so some low level rotation not out of the question.

There is a particular area of interest within the bow echo crossing ft. bend county. Northern portions of that county are going to get hit especially hard. Next in line. Southern half of Harris, right into downtown.

Yep, that's the front. Looks like that echo is associated with a mesolow on the front.

Here's a screenshot of my radar. Looks like it may pass just north of my house. Maybe over Bellaire and into downtown.

I sure hope Beaumont does'nt miss out on all this excitement! About when do you think this will shift eastward a bit to include Jefferson county in all the fun?

I wish I was in Midland right now... the rain and Severe Weather is exciting, but there is nothing, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING as exciting as ThunderSnow or ThunderIce Storms with lightning.
