This month's local American Meteorological Society meeting will be held on Monday, June 6th. Dinner will begin at 6:00pm at Spring Creek BBQ in League City with the meeting to follow at 7:00pm. In preparation for hurricane season this month's speaker will be Bill Read, Director of the National Hurricane Center. He will be presenting "Hurricane Surge, Wind and Rain - why some people don't get it."
The meeting is open to both members and non-members. However, membership in the local AMS society is only $10/year, so it would be nice if you came to join for the next year. Here's the latest newsletter:
