Air France plane crash team find debris after two years of searching
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-storie ... -23038196/

This is weather related since Air France Flight 447 flew into a severe thunderstorm over the South Atlantic due to Inter Tropical Convergence Zone. The Airbus 330-200 wreckage has been found in 2.5 mile water, same depth that Titanic lies in.

Air France Flight 447: A detailed meteorological analysis
http://www.weathergraphics.com/tim/af447/

Air France Flight 447 flew into severe thunderstorms from the Inter Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ). There was likely supercooled water, which is common in stratiform and cumulus clouds and the pitot tubes froze from contact. Supercooled water occurs when there is no particles in the water, it is pure. That is one reason why we get rain despite below freezing.
