Multiple reports now of sleet/snow grains in NW Austin, Leander, and Georgetown.
Question - where can I get a good water vapor imagery loop?

Yep I have friends in north Austin reporting snow falling. This is good news for everyone from central to SE TX hoping to see some snow tonight and tomorrow!Texashawk wrote:Looks like NW of Austin is starting to light up with some good snow showers... that stuff isn't moving our way but hopefully it does bode well for the energy potential of this system!

Still nothing at my house in southwest Travis County but it should only be a matter of minutes the way the radar is lighting up.

The ULL sure does appear to be kicking the crap out of that dry air now, and the dry air does not appear to be putting up much resistance. At least, that's what it looks like to my untrained eye.helloitsb wrote:http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/east/sc/flash-wv.htmlTexashawk wrote:Question - where can I get a good water vapor imagery loop?
Thanks! Looks like the north part of Texas is filling in rather nicely. Little worried about South Texas, though... still looks quite dry...

It's lighting up fast! Just an hour ago there was nothing. I'm also in SW Travis. Where abouts are you?Portastorm wrote:You wouldn't let me ... thankfully!srainhoutx wrote:Oh. I see you didn't jump...Portastorm wrote:Multiple reports now of sleet/snow grains in NW Austin, Leander, and Georgetown.
