Look at the Upper level influences more then the actual temps for this range. The 18z looked promising for the GFS and hopefully this will continue with the 00z.

I wouldn't say plain old cold front especially if temps end up being what is predicted today. High's only in the 30's or 40's for several days is rarer for Houston then many give credit.

Believe me, I hope you are right, but I've been following this thread for about 4 days now. We've gone from potentially record breaking artic freezes to possibility of prolonged below freezing days to upper 20's for lows to 40's for highs. Heck, by the time it actually gets here we'll be wearing shorts.....lol

You need to calm down. Perhaps you should try reading all the Fahrenheit temperatures in Celsius. Then you will be happy because it will seem much colder to you.

I like the cold too but lets at least get the ball rolling first before we decide one way or the other. The models take raw data in and digest a solution. Lets get the data first!
