Question.
Flying to Florida tomorrow for work, and flying back to Houston on Thursday with a 2 hour layover at DFW. Should I cancel that last leg and rent a car? Just trying to figure out where the remnants will be on Thursday.
DoctorMu yeah that ridge is going to really slow this down once it moves in land, but at the same time that would really magnify the flooding potential in some areas, even with the dry grounds

lol You have no idea how dry it is in Aggieland, now.
This is still going to be a weak system. It's no Harvey. Bring it. I can deal with a little flash flooding.
Oh no its not going to be harvey, but it reminds me of Imelda, weak but slow moving that dumped some ridiculous totals around se texas. But this time it has more water to develop, and id strongly argue that this is already a TD.

So how long till we see tropical watches/warnings on the upper Tx coast?
Still not particularly looking that impressive but there is probably enough there given it's proximity to land that they could initiate PTC advisories this evening.
I'd guess Cameron to High Island on Tuesday. Might extend down to Galveston...
