Ridging (500mb heights, anomaly) looks pretty persistent until September 6-11 across GFS, Euro to September 7-11th. Cmc is the most optimistic. Buckle up.

This morning some cells were coming down, then kicked off and outflow to the west and missed us to the east. This afternoon the opposite happened, and could even see the rain in the distance but didnt get a drop all day.

Ridge returns for at least 2-3 more weeks of misery. Yard is close to fully dead and all the trees are looking terrible in the area. Eff Summer.

Totally got the shaft again. Got two whole drops here and then as the cloud passes the bottom drops out and thunder like bombs to the south. The tease is worse than sunny and 104.

Had at least 3 more big cells start knocking on the door around 10 PM and either skirt past us, or dissolve, and immediately reform on the other side of us. Feeling cursed because I had the same problem when I lived in Rosharon.

Nothing here. There were towers to our east and west yesterday evening.

Ridging continues on most models. Peaks are just south so more NW flow again. Some weaker than others. Take 2-3 degrees of the highs for next week. GFS naturally tries to bring in a weak tropical low in a week from Monday (September 7).

After getting hosed initially yesterday, that cell that came through the Timbergrove area early this morning was angry and quickly dumped right at 2". Good way to end a brutal month. HRRR looks promising for later today as well.

Rub it in why don't cha...2" wouldn't even puddle here in Matagorda County. There is no doubt I have lost some St Augustine in my yard. It's large and no way to irrigate. Right where I live we haven't had rain since those rains in June, we have missed every even small opportunity. This rivals 2011 here.

Matagorda County will have a decent shot at some rain this afternoon into the evening hours.

A chance of diurnal showers this afternoon influenced by the boundary. Pretty good chance near and south of I-10.

A trough is building in the West and we'll have disturbances undercut the ridge as it expands eastward. Some showers next week could hit the gap and provide some relief...mostly near the coast.

Same **** new day. Nice cell coming from the NE splits and 100% misses me. Less than a mile from my house the line congeals, goes dark red and keeps trucking. Such BS.

Completely dumped 1/2 a mile away. Mist at home. Radar even showed deep red over me (next to green). 3 misses in one day. 6 close calls this week.
I’m done watching for now. It’ll rain when it rains, probably when I least expect it

Grimes County saw beneficial rainfall but the cells died on the Brazos Co. line (aka Aggiedome) while moving east. Nice breeze and cooldown into the upper 70s, but dry as a bone.

I need to work on my rain dance.
