Survive and advance. Less than a month to A&M football. Practice has started. NO INJURIES! :pray

A little over 3 seeks to the first BCS football game.

A little seabreeze. Beaumont is getting hammered...but it's Beaumont.

Unfortunately, I'm running my sprinklers now. I forgot to trigger them last night.

20% chance of rain here in CLL through Tuesday. Hoping for some lucky 7s on the seabreeze.

Random question: Is anyone else having trouble posting on Storm2k? I keep trying to create a new post under the texas summers thread, but every time i click new post, my screen goes blank even if i refresh and try again

On and off. Not much going on there right now anyway as El Niño is shearing the tropical mischief away.

And August is August. Some worse than others!

Within 5 miles of some seabreeze liquid gold. Anderson Co is happy.

Looks like absolute misery ahead . Ridge locks in for the remainder of August. I truly hate summer, and especially Texas summers

Late August there could be an increased chance of rain. Mid September is when the rainy pattern looks to get going.

My favorite thing about this time of year. Everyone is undefeated and soon we will see games being played on TV in Michigan and Minnesota with snow showers. It gives me hope about our first cool front. :D

I don't believe in any rain forecast until its actually falling from the sky. Have seen weak El Ninos produce lots of rain or no rain, and Strong El Ninos also produce lots of rain or no rain. There is absolutely no correlation.

Cpv17 maybe, latest GFS run lifts the ridge far enough to the NE to allow for more of a easterly flow into SE texas, could help to drag some rain chances back into the picture after the 20th ish or so. Mid September feels like an eternity from now lol

It’s been a long time since I got jilted at the last second so many days in a row, and so many times in a single day. It’s been thundering on and off for hours, but no rain. Go a mile in any direction though 🤷‍♂️

Mid september looks like our next best chance for rain ( and when el nino should be in full control ). Rest of August looks very brutal in the rainfall department
