Even calling for 5+ inches out here. We will gladly take it. Hopefully south Texas out by Corpus can cash in. They are in dire shape.

Yep. Crazy stuff. No comment on WPC's recent QPF track records, but there's agreement across models and ensembles in general. Mesos - TBD.

Can anyone tell (or guess) if this will be the ongoing pattern for the next 2-3 months? Dad says the hot dry weather is coming. I know rain is needed but it gets old after awhile

All of june looks wet, i think we do get some dry periods in the summer, but i really do not think we should be concerned about a big death ridge this summer , especially with el nino continuing to get stronger , alot of the climatology models for june- august keeps us at near average to above average precipitation. We will see, but with a persistently strong STJ, thats going to undercut any heat ridge trying to pop up

Absolutely insane thunderstorm in Geogetown right now. This is the hardest I've seen it rain since being in Harvey.

Looks like we're getting gapped. At least for now with a new line forming south of College Station and heading SSE.
Really impressive outflow from the east with winds of NE30 G45...but not rain for now.
We'll see. Prepare for incoming down in Houston.

Didnt get anything out of the first line. That 2nd Squall line means business though, that definitely should hold together as it moves west generally

Well, I think it’s safe to say here in League City that this forecast wasn’t a bust. Holy moly. It started and it hasn’t stopped.

What a night. The atmosphere is still juiced and the saturation points are either near the point or even. There is a break out west, but I suspect more thunderstorms and rain will fill in later as the day/heating arises ( more isolated than widespread).
"Expect rainfall to taper off in the morning hours, and we`ll
likely be stabilized for a good while afterwards so have trimmed
POPs back for the remainder of the day."

Saturation points have been met in many parts of the CWA. We have to be mindful as we move forward Thursday-Monday
