Euro still has 1-3 inches south of I-10, everyone should see some rain next weekend, slow moving frontal boundary thursday- saturday should help to focus widespread storms

The Big Flip is still on for the end of the week.
NOAA has lows in the upper 40s and low 50s Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. Friday has the largest chance of rain by far with the approaching FROPA.
On the other flip side...there's a significant, but unclear how substantial, chance that a Super El Nino + CC could change the climate radically going forward. Hoping for some mitigation...or a warm Alaska!

The big El Nino of 1998 gave us a “step up” in the ongoing heating of the planet. This will do the same but like on steroids.DoctorMu wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2026 7:34 pm The Big Flip is still on for the end of the week.

Our next move might be Virginia instead of NC.jasons2k wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2026 7:44 pmThe big El Nino of 1998 gave us a “step up” in the ongoing heating of the planet. There are a lot of factors that come to play besides El Nino. I would look at Indian Ocean or other parts of the Pacific.jasons2k wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2026 7:44 pmThe big El Nino of 1998 gave us a “step up” in the ongoing heating of the planet. Forecast for widespread thunderstorms out here and as usual it hasn't done a damned thing. The forecasting is so terrible over here.

Front #1 has passed through CLL. Light northerly winds begin the transition to the May flip.
