12z RGEM. Happy days.

I'd love to got out running, but my wife and I caught friggin' COVID (fully vax) in Arkansas. On my way to score some Paxlovid.

A Snow shutdown would be a good way to quarantine.

It’s one model and inconsistent with all the globals. We’re getting a lot more than what is depicted in that graphic. GFS, Canadian, and Euro all locked in on 6 inches plus for Houston.

Correct if I’m wrong but this is only till the early morning hours on Tuesday. Still need more time for the entire event to come into picture.
Been here for years since Katrina.

Guess I should be thankful if I can at least get 1” down here. Just hoping I’m off from work on Tuesday.

NWS has sleet and snow mix for my area in Richmond. Just a few miles north, heavy snow for Katy. It will be close one way or the other.

Yeah, it’s not really looking all that great for me and you. Let’s just hope we have some extra days off.

I’m not sure what that means. You’re going to get a lot of sleet/snow mix. You will be off Tuesday and Wednesday

Hope we all get some enjoyable snow from this event, because after this its looking more likely that winter is over heading into February, could be a warm month as the mjo goes back into unfavorable phases and the epo goes well positive

There will be snow. It is still difficult to predict accurately where the heavy snow bands will be at the granular level.

CMC had a good record in the two 2021 snow events.

And that is exactly what I meant by shifting. You read my mind in my response. Thank you good Doc

Yup I think we will see alot of sleet Monday night and Tuesday morning..by then the warm nose should be done by sunrise and we should transition over to snow..now how much is the question

I'm liking this filling in to the west business.

Curious to see what the 18Z HRRR run shows here in a bit as we start to get into range of the high-res model runs. I've been fairly skeptical of the super high snow numbers from the globals, but have to admit the potential for some pretty significant snow totals in the Houston metro seems likely. Going to be interesting seeing how it plays out. Very well could be the type of setup where someone gets a (relative) dusting and the neighborhood over looks like a snow globe.
