For whatever reason, maybe the remaining dry air, but fortunately it can’t seem to generate much convection or a dense CDO. Hopefully this means the chances is RI are significantly lessened!

It’s looking like a decent bet right now, but it could still go just east of me. Man, the western suburbs are gonna get clobbered. Being in the eye of a hurricane is on my bucket list so I might get to scratch it off.

- El Campo
- Wharton

* WIND
- LATEST LOCAL FORECAST: Equivalent Cat 1 Hurricane force wind
- Peak Wind Forecast: 60-80 mph with gusts to 95 mph
- Window for Tropical Storm force winds: early this evening
until Monday afternoon
- Window for Hurricane force winds: early Monday morning
until Monday morning

- THREAT TO LIFE AND PROPERTY THAT INCLUDES TYPICAL FORECAST
UNCERTAINTY IN TRACK, SIZE AND INTENSITY: Potential for wind 74
to 110 mph
- The wind threat has increased from the previous assessment.
- PLAN: Plan for life-threatening wind of equivalent CAT 1 or
2 hurricane force.
- PREPARE: Last minute efforts should solely focus on
protecting life. The area remains subject to considerable
wind damage.
- ACT: Now is the time to shelter from life-threatening wind.

Fort Bend County is still under a TS Warning, however they raised the winds...up to 75 mph sustained....95 mph gusts..

Nice mammatus following that outer band I can see from the western burbs. Clearing out the remainder of the loose items in the back. Going to get rowdy here.

Hearing more and more of the COC a little more east as its now moving more NNW. Wonder if Beryl will do like the YP, a tad further east than what the track forecasted. *Just my untrained opinion.

Angleton, which is about 20 miles from my location (Sienna) is now under a hurricane warning. Fort Bend peeps, don’t sleep on this one!!

A couple of geniuses on my street have their trash on the curb for Tuesday trash day, including a bunch of loose trash bags.
